Schaeffer D, Gille S, Hurrelmann K. Implementation of the National Action Plan Health Literacy in Germany—Lessons Learned. International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. 2020;17(12): 4403.The promotion of health literacy (HL) has become an important task in public health. In response, in many countries, strategies and action plans to strengthen HL have been developed. Systematic discussion of implementation strategies of action plans on HL is scarce. This paper presents the implementation strategy and the methodical process of its realization of the National Action Plan HL in Germany which was published in 2018. The implementation strategy was based on considerations of implementation science and research. A process consisting of a continuum of various overlapping methodical and strategic steps of diffusion, dissemination and implementation based on collaboration and co-production was chosen. According to this, the Action Plan was widely diffused via various channels, disseminated through numerous publications and presentations, and implemented in several settings by holding workshops with stakeholders from politics, science and practice, as well as by cooperating with the Alliance for Health Literacy. This three-part collaborative and co-productive implementation strategy has helped to place HL and the National Action Plan on the health policy agenda in Germany. Experience demonstrates that implementation should be also considered, systematically planned, and addressed when developing strategies to strengthen HL

This paper explains the system developed for the Hate Speech Detection (HaSpeeDe) shared task within the 7th evaluation campaign EVALITA 2020 (Basile et al. 2020). The task solution proposed in this work is based on a fine-tuned BERT model. In cross-corpus evaluation, our model reached an F1 score of 77,56% on the tweets test set, and 60,31% on the news headlines test set.Questo articolo spiega il sistema sviluppato per il tesk finalizzato all’individuazione dei discorsi d’odio all’interno della campagna di valutazione EVALITA 2020 (Basile et al. 2020). International audiencePurpose: On top of their legal, economic, social and institutional marginalization, marginalized drug users also experience political marginalization: drug policies shape their lives without their political participation. From a scientific as well as a political perspective, the inclusion of their various viewpoints and situated knowledge is a major challenge, and one to which this paper aims to contribute in light of the experiences and imaginaries of marginalized drug users urban spaces in several German cities. Approach: Following a socio-geographical approach, this paper interrogates how marginalized drug users appropriate and imagine the city, drawing on Lefebvre’s Production of Space and mixing critical cartographic with grounded theory, in the attempt to both understand and reconstruct the world from the situated perspective of marginalized drug users based on their own words, drawings and emotions.Findings: The narratives and drawings of participants show another cityscape, radically different from the hegemonic discourses and mappings antagonizing marginalized drug users and making their existence a social problem. Space appears as a means of marginalization: there are barely any places that marginalized drug users can legitimately appropriate – least of all so-called “public space”. By contrast, marginalized drug users’ imaginaries of an ideal city would accommodate their existence and address further social justice issues. Originality: The notion of “public places” appears unable to express marginalized drug user’s experiences. Instead of focusing on the problem of public spaces, policymakers should tackle the question of place-making for MDUs, beyond the level of solely drug-related places

Schaeffer D, Gille S, Vogt D, Hurrelmann K. National Action Plan Health Literacy in Germany origin, development and structure. Journal of Public Health. 2021;2021:11 Seiten.**Aim** Health literacy has gained increasing importance worldwide. As a result of several studies indicating low health literacy levels in large parts of the population, strategies and action plans promoting health literacy were developed in many countries. The article analyses the origin, development and structure of the German Health Literacy Action Plan. **Subject and methods** In 2016, a civil society initiative was formed, aiming at developing a national action plan in an expert-based and collaborative manner. A group of 15 experts elaborated the core elements of the action plan, based on a literature review on existing health literacy approaches, action plans and empirical evidence. These core elements were further developed collaboratively in workshops with key stakeholders, self-help and patient organizations and individual consultation meetings. Afterwards, the National Action Plan was reviewed and previously formulated recommendations were refined before being published. **Results and conclusion** The National Action Plan Health Literacy in Germany presents 15 recommendations in four areas of action for promoting health literacy in Germany. This bottom-up strategy and the expert-based yet at the same time collaborative approach have proved to be successful when developing a national action plan
